About Us

Trillium School, founded in 1991, is an independent, non-denominational, co-educational, and award-winning private school serving students from toddlers to Grade 12. It is registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education and a member of the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools.

We are very proud of our 100% university placement record. We enjoy a close relationship with the top Canadian universities. Trillium School (High School Division) is committed to securing university placement for all our students by offering a warm and engaging learning environment. The low student-teacher ratio as well as the experienced and dedicated staff allow us to focus on each student’s individual strengths and passions.

Trillium is committed to developing students through a balanced approach to education. Strong academics and high expectations are complemented by rich and dynamic extracurricular and co-curricular activities that offer students a range of athletic, artistic, social and life experiences.

Strong character development and good citizenship are integral to the school program and are continuously modeled by our team of professional and caring educators. Trillium has always boasted a supportive, family-like atmosphere where students feel at ease and truly enjoy the whole school experience. Following graduation, alumni return to the school regularly to help out in a variety of volunteer roles, attesting to the bonds forged over the years.

The school is situated on 14th Avenue, between Birchmount Road and Kennedy Road in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Housed in a modern 38,000-square-foot facility, the school features a gymnasium with changing rooms, a computer room, a fully-equipped science lab, a music room, an art room, and a fully-contained school yard. The school is located within walking distance of public transit, Markham Pan Am Centre, York University new campus, and Milliken Mills Community Centre which houses a public library, a swimming pool, and a skating rink. Trillium students use the Milliken Mills Community Centre regularly as part of their co-curricular programs.

In addition, the school property borders picturesque Milliken Mills Park which is home to a variety of community facilities, including a baseball diamond, soccer fields, a playground, and a water park. Trillium students use the park at various times throughout the year for sports, play days, tobogganing and other special events.
