Boarding

A home away from home

Trillium makes sure all boarding students feel welcome and comfortable in their new home.

Our student residences are located within a ten-minute drive from the school campus. There are one boys’ boarding house and one girls’ boarding house and each one has its own housemistress. The housemistresses act as liaisons between home and school to ensure each student receives comprehensive care and support to thrive at Trillium. Trillium offers comprehensive orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support.

We provide a 24-hour supervision that includes allocated study time, family-style meals, cleaning, and a range of recreational, fitness and wellness activities. Living in student residences enables boarders to focus on their academic pursuits along with their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing. Each boarder is a member of a boarding family and forms lifelong friendships with other boarders. Students also feel a true sense of belonging and a loyalty to their house that remains long after they graduate from the school.

In boarding, students are supported and challenged to pursue their goals. It is a place where they can grow into independent, responsible, and compassionate global citizens and develop essential life skills imperative to the transition to post-secondary education and beyond.
